Job summary

Quantum Industrial Services, a leading mechanical and plumbing contractor, seeks a Traveling Safety Manager to oversee safety across large-scale projects in multiple states. You will lead field safety teams, assess hazards, and ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

You will manage incidents, coordinate training, and partner with project leaders to drive safety performance on high-profile data center, semiconductor, and manufacturing sites. Extensive travel is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction, industrial, mechanical, or occupational safety experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction is required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction safety practices.
• Experience with incident investigations, hazard assessments, inspections, and corrective-action management.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day safety operations on assigned projects.
• Supervise, coach, and provide direction to Safety Coordinators.
• Coordinate safety coverage based on manpower, shifts, work areas, and project risk.
• Maintain an active field presence and conduct regular safety inspections.
• Identify hazards and establish effective controls with project leadership.
• Oversee high-risk activities including lifting, fall protection, confined space, LOTO, hot work, excavation, testing, and aerial platforms.
• Review and monitor JHAs, AHAs, PTPS, HRAs, permits, and lift plans.
• Lead site-level incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and corrective actions.
