Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation seeks an experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to lead retail construction projects in the United States. You will oversee on-site activities, coordinate subcontractors, enforce safety, and maintain quality from ground-breaking through completion.

Responsibilities include coordinating field teams, tracking progress, and ensuring schedules are met while adhering to OSHA standards and company policies across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent on retail or commercial projects.
• Strong background in big box retail, storefronts, and/or interior tenant improvements preferred.
• Solid understanding of construction means and methods, building codes, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities for retail projects, including ground-up builds and interior tenant improvements.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure schedules, milestones, and deliverables are met.
• Enforce jobsite safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, and Owners to ensure seamless project execution.
• Maintain daily field reports, progress tracking, and communicate updates to project stakeholders.
• Proactively identify and resolve field issues to avoid delays and maintain productivity.
• Ensure quality control throughout all phases of construction.
