Job summary

Monte Nido is seeking a traveling Recovery Coach to support clients across residential sites in Rockland and Westchester counties. This part-time role involves traveling to cover shifts weekly, assisting with meals, groups, and treatment plan adherence in a compassionate setting.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery, communicate clearly with clients, and help integrate them into the therapeutic milieu.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and client-relations skills are required.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to scheduling changes.
• Experience in mental or behavioral health is valued.

Responsibilities

• Support clients through their recovery journey in the milieu.
• Provide interventions aligned with the treatment plan.
• Engage clients to build healthy connections with peers and staff.
• Assist with food prep and supervise meals and snacks.
• Expose clients to therapeutic groups and core skill-building.
• Conduct rounds and observations of clients.
• Occasionally drive clients to appointments and activities.

Monte Nido is a national leader in eating disorder treatment, with over two decades of experience providing residential and day treatment (PHP/IOP) care rooted in evidence-based, compassionate clinical practices. Our programs support individuals of all genders through their recovery journey, blending a clinical, medical, nutritional, and relational approach.

We are seeking a part time Mental Health Technician/Recovery Coach to join the Monte Nido team.

Schedule:

Flexible scheduling with the ability to travel different Residential sites across Rockland & Westchester county to cover open Recovery Coach shifts on a weekly basis.

Pay Scale:

$20-$23 plus weekend and overnight pay differentials

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide support and intervention consistent with the client’s treatment plan.
• Engage clients in developing healthy and appropriate connections with other clients in the milieu and the team.
• Assist in food prep and set-up; model and supervise client meals and snacks.
• Exposure to therapeutic groups and developing core skills to promote clinical growth.
• Conduct rounds and provide observations
• Occasionally, drive clients off-site for appointments and activities.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years post-high school education; Bachelor’s in Psychology preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a mental or behavioral health setting is highly desired (and required in some states).
• Valid state-issued Driver’s License with safe driving history.
• We require good communication and client relations skills; service orientation; flexibility; and the ability to work as a member of a team.
