Job summary

Capital Materials Quarries is seeking a Quarry Supervisor to oversee the Warsaw and Bates City, MO operations. You will travel between sites, supervise day-to-day quarry operations, and ensure safety and efficiency while meeting production targets.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in mining/quarry management, knowledge of MSHA/OSHA regulations, and the ability to coordinate crews and maintenance work. Full-time with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in mining/quarry operations with managerial or supervisory experience.
• Familiar with MSHA/OSHA regulations and quarry processing equipment.
• Willing to travel and work out of town as needed.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with team to meet production demands in a timely manner.
• Supervise employees performing day to day quarry operations and equipment maintenance.
• Schedule, assign, plan and monitor crews to ensure on-time, quality completion.
• Manage mobile equipment expenses and operational expectations.
• Coordinate outside vendor activities, including blasting.
• Oversee portable plant operations including drilling, blasting, loading and hauling.
• Complete operational summaries and reports as needed.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise quarry operations to meet production needs.
• Handle urgent or breakdown jobs to minimize downtime.
• Provide technical assistance in equipment maintenance.
• Willing to operate equipment with the crew as needed.
• Ensure all mining activities comply with safety rules and regulations.
• Ensure quarry site operates safely, efficiently, and successfully.

Job Location: CMC Q- Bates City, MO - Bates City, MO 64011, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Capital Materials Quarries is currently recruiting for a Quarry Supervisor to oversee the Warsaw and Bates City, MO quarry. In this role, you would be traveling between both quarries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate with team to meet production demands in a timely manner.
• Supervise employees performing day to day quarry operations and mobile equipment maintenance.
• Schedule, assign, plan and monitor the work of crews to ensure completion of the tasks in a timely and quality manner.
• Manage mobile equipment expenses and operational expectations.
• Coordinate outside vendor activities, including blasting.
• Manage operations of portable plants including drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, mobile equipment maintenance, ect.
• Complete operational summaries and reports as needed.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise quarry operations to meet portable plant production needs.
• Manage any urgent or breakdown jobs as required to keep equipment running and minimize downtime.
• Provide technical assistance in maintenance of equipment.
• Willing to operate equipment with the crew as needed.
• Ensure all mining and mobile equipment activities are compliant.
• Ensure quarry site operates safely, efficiently, and successfully.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Driver’s License
• High school degree or GED required.
• Familiar with MSHA/OSHA regulations, quarry processing equipment (i.e. crushers, belt conveyors), and general maintenance of equipment
• 2 – 5 years working in mining/quarry operations with managerial and front-line supervisory experience.
• Willing to travel/work out of town.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
