Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a traveling Quality Manager to enforce quality control on USACE projects across the Southern and Eastern Regions of the United States. Each assignment will last 1–2 years, with a project backlog to manage for at least 6 years.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 5+ years in QC management, USACE project experience, and a USACE CQM or CQC-M certification. A government background check is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Experience leading QC on construction projects.
• Familiarity with USACE Three-Phase Control process.
• Ability to pass a government background check.

Responsibilities

• Chair and document weekly QC coordination meetings with subcontractors and attend progress meetings with USACE Resident Engineer or admin team.
• Update and maintain RMSto log daily QC reports, track submittals, manage deficiencies, and upload test results.
• Implement and document the USACE Three-Phase Control process for each definable feature of work.
• Identify, document, and track construction defects with a rework log, ensuring timely corrective action and closure.
• Review, approve, and track shop drawings, material samples, and technical data sheets before submission to government or on-site use.
