Job summary

The Walsh Group, Ltd. seeks a Traveling Project Manager for its Multi‑family Group with assignments in Moline, IL; Virginia Beach, VA; and Elizabeth City, NC.

You will lead functional teams, drive profitability, and build lasting client relationships while delivering high‑impact construction solutions. Responsibilities include leading costs, scheduling, engineering, and personnel, managing startups and closeouts, and ensuring safety and QA/QC compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in construction project management.
• Experience in managing construction teams.
• Strong client relationship skills.
• Relocation may be required for specific roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for costs, planning, scheduling, engineering, supervision and personnel management.
• Oversee project start up, completion, and close-out processes.
• Develop strategy for personnel development and recruiting.
• Manage contractual issues and relationships with clients.
• Establish and maintain customer relationships.
• Accurately forecast costs for project completion.
• Provide leadership and development to the project team.
• Make final decisions in problem resolution.
• Implement Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans.
• Identify issues to Program Manager to ensure project success.
• Review and approve preliminary schedules, financial projections, and cost to complete.
• Ensure construction site rules and safety procedures are followed.
• Coordinate with Safety Manager to meet safety goals.

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred
