Job description

Position Overview

This full-time traveling position supports an Advanced Technology project across various market segments, including Data Center, Pharmaceutical, Industrial/Manufacturing, and EV/Battery/Renewables.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead and coordinate the daily management of the project, fostering high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring. Ensure timely employee performance appraisals and feedback.
  2. Manage and develop staff to optimize performance and career growth.
  3. Develop and maintain client relationships, establishing a trusted advisor status.
  4. Understand and administer project contracts and subcontracts.
  5. Provide leadership to facilitate positive change and influence project outcomes.
  6. Promote community involvement and build strategic relationships.
  7. Foster relationships with architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
  8. Establish and communicate the Master Project Schedule and oversee its execution.
  9. Assist in preconstruction development if needed.
  10. Manage project budget and financial reporting, ensuring adherence to financial plans.
  11. Oversee the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program.
  12. Lead risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and pricing decisions.
  13. Ensure compliance with Turner's business ethics and compliance programs.
  14. Demonstrate high standards of accountability and integrity; mentor staff accordingly.
  15. Manage field operations and engineering processes.
  16. Drive team competencies in insurance, labor, and employee relations.
  17. Enforce safety protocols consistently across the project team.
  18. Coordinate with Finance for timely payment processing.
  19. Provide project updates through regular Operations Review Meetings.
  20. Support Turner initiatives, promote emerging technologies, and foster innovation.
  21. Encourage diversity and inclusion within the project environment.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree plus at least ten years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, engineering principles, and accounting. Excellent communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and advanced presentation abilities. Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules. Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands

Must be able to perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs, ladders, negotiating work areas, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment

Primarily on-site at construction locations with exposure to mechanical parts, heights, airborne particles, weather conditions, and electrical hazards. Noise levels are typically moderate to loud.
