Job summary

DigiStream Investigations, a fast-growing national private investigation firm, seeks a Private Investigator in the Greater Austin region. This role offers excitement, travel, autonomy, and purpose, with a pathway to growth through our Investigator Promotion Track.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour for entry-level work, with full benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with 4% company match. Must live in Texas and be willing to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight on remote assignments (as needed).
• Available to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to start work as early as 5:00 am daily with occasional evenings.
• Must pass DMV check & background check.
• Confident driving skills.
• No PI license required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, follow, and videotape subjects as they conduct day-to-day activities.
• Vehicle and foot pursuit of subjects while remaining in cover.
• Film activities at diverse locations, from stores to events.
• Develop pre-surveillance strategies based on location and case details.
• Prepare detailed written reports and submit video evidence.
• Maintain regular communication with team leader on setup and tactics.
