Job summary

Nordic Solutions invites a Traveling Precision Grinding Specialist to lead setup, grinding, and inspection of precision parts across multiple sites nationwide. You will manage OD/ID grinding and interpret complex specifications to deliver high-quality prototypes and low-volume runs.

Expect to travel frequently, work nights or overtime as needed, and leverage your expertise with hardened alloys to maintain strict tolerances and superior finishes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on OD/ID or cylindrical grinding (manual preferred).
• Fluency in blueprint reading and GD&T; strong shop math.
• Proven ability to independently set up, run, and dial-in grinding operations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate OD, ID, and cylindrical grinding equipment.
• Produce one-off, prototype, and low-volume parts with tight tolerances.
• Perform in-process and final inspection with metrology tools.
• Read blueprints and GD&T to ensure conformance.
