Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Pipe Welder to support large‑scale mechanical construction projects. The role requires extensive travel and performing welds and pipe fitting on critical system components.

You will work on site with emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork across challenging environments. Expect a 10‑day tour schedule with long shifts and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Must pass a 6G weld test prior to employment.
• Extensive travel required (typical 10‑day tour with long shifts).
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive up to 10 hours.
• Capable of operating industrial lifts.
• Experience with high‑pressure, steam, gas, or process piping systems.
• Pre‑employment and regular drug testing required; safety‑sensitive position.
• Background check and driving record review; DUI disqualifies recent cases.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Weld pipe ranging from 3/4" to 18" diameter, typically 2"–6".
• Welds on compressors, vessels, evaporators, condensers, and assemblies.
• Cut, bevel, fit, and weld open root joints without inserts.
• Complete significant daily weld output and operate hand tools.
• Assist with insulation, electrical, and painting tasks as needed.
• Follow welding procedures and maintain site safety and cleanliness.
