Job summary

Healthbridge Staffing is seeking a Traveling Physical Therapist to support multiple skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers in Virginia. You will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to help residents maximize function while traveling between sites.

The role requires a VA license, NPTE certification, and graduation from an accredited PT program. You’ll collaborate with physicians and staff, document clinically, and supervise assistants as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Physical Therapist license to practice in VA
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• NPTE certification completed
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Willingness to travel across multiple facilities in the region

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance and independence
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed
• Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff and families
• Document clinical notes in a timely manner
• Supervise PTAs and Rehabilitation Aides as required
• Support regulatory compliance and quality assurance

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Traveling Physical Therapist to join our therapy team. In this role, you'll provide exceptional rehabilitative care while supporting multiple skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers throughout the region. What You'll Do

As a Traveling Physical Therapist, you will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans designed to help residents achieve their highest level of function.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence

• Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary team members

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Supervise and provide clinical guidance to Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides

• Support regulatory compliance and quality assurance initiatives

• Travel between assigned centers to provide therapy services as needed

What We're Looking For

• Current Physical Therapist license in the state of VA

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program

• Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)

• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams

• Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience preferred

• Willingness and ability to travel between assigned facilities
