Job summary

The Phlebotomist (Traveler) position in Dublin, VA is an onsite role requiring travel to multiple Patient Service Centers. It involves drawing blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include following procedures, keeping accurate records, and collaborating with supervisors. This is a 3-month contract with possibilities for extension. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, and a 401k plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–3 years experience required.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Willing to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Complies with Policies & Procedures including dress code, health & safety.
• Capable of handling multiple priorities in high-volume setting.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices.
• Verify patient demographics and labeling post-venipuncture for accuracy.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public.
