Job summary

SpecialtyRx is opening a new location in Cook County, Illinois, and seeks a Pharmacy Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair essential pharmacy equipment and systems across facilities. You will travel within Illinois to service equipment, support onboarding, and ensure smooth operations under Pharmacy leadership.

The role requires problem-solving skills, ability to lift heavy equipment, and willingness to travel to multiple sites in the region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous pharmacy experience is a plus.
• Maintenance or warehouse experience is a plus.
• At least one year of experience in long-term care preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to lift 70-100 lbs.
• Ability to push up to 600 lbs with support.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation required.
• Willingness to travel.
• Microsoft Office and basic technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general facility repairs, including installations and alterations of machinery, components, and systems as assigned by the supervisor.
• Maintain and repair medication packaging machines, automated packaging machinery, medication carts, and shelving.
• Comply with state and federal guidelines, including OSHA standards, both within the facility and on the road.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment to minimize downtime and meet production targets.
• Analyze routes for service repairs, equipment deliveries, and pickups at client facilities.
• Complete scheduling, service call tracking, and inventory management paperwork.
