Job summary

Great Expressions Dental Centers is seeking a traveling, part-time Dental Assistant to support multiple offices in TX. You will help prepare rooms, sterilize instruments, educate patients, and assist dentists during procedures. Mileage reimbursement is provided and training is available for the right candidate.

The role requires strong organization, communication, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

Join our dynamic and thriving dental practice as a Dental Assistant! At Great Expressions Dental Centers, we're seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our team and positively impact our patients' oral health. This is a traveling, part-time position with the following schedule:

• Tuesday: Periodontics at Long Prairie (3424 Long Prairie Rd STE 300, Flower Mound, TX 75028)
• Wednesday: Periodontics at Wycliff (2525 Wycliff Ave Ste 107, Dallas, TX 75219)
• Thursday: Endodontics at Long Prairie (3424 Long Prairie Rd STE 300, Flower Mound, TX 75028)

Mileage reimbursement will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
• Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
• Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus

Requirements

Before applying, it is imperative that you meet the state requirements outlined below.

• Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X-rays).
• Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
• Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations.
• Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X-ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8-week period to submit it.
• New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
• New York: Not applicable.
• Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays)
• Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
