Job summary

Community Dental Partners in Waco/Killeen areas seeks an Orthodontic Assistant - Traveling to support doctors during treatment exams and related duties. The role requires ensuring patient comfort, accurate charting, and assisting with all orthodontic procedures.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and familiarity with dental terminology, sterilization, and OSHA guidelines. Travel stipend may apply, and a path for career growth is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures.
• Familiar with Sterilization.
• Familiar with OSHA guidelines and procedures.
• Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact preferred.
• Previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for dental care.
• Assist the orthodontist at the chair while they are engaged in any treatment of patients.
• Take panoramic and cephalometric x-rays as well as oral photographs.
• Placement and removal of brackets.
• Removal and placement of arch wires.
• Tooth preparation prior to bonding.
• Accurate computer charting.
• Sterilization of chairs and instruments.
• Responsible for oral hygiene instructions.
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed.
