Job summary

JGM is seeking two experienced Traveling Journeyman Ironworkers. Initial duties at the Sinking Spring, PA fabrication facility for 6–8 weeks, then nationwide traveling field assignments. Compensation includes $28–$30 per hour DOE and a $120/day per diem (work 6, paid 7).

Role requires reading blueprints, performing maintenance, fabrication, alignment, and repairs while upholding strict safety protocols. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of millwright experience and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of millwright experience.
• Knowledge of layout and measurement practices to align parts and equipment.
• Proficient in reading and calculating measurements in standard and metric.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand equipment drawings and blueprints.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance duties.
• Align and calibrate machinery and equipment parts.
• Cut, weld, and fabricate with steel.
• Assess repairs and estimate time frames.
• Repair machinery in a timely manner.
• Identify mechanical and hydraulic problems and assist in solutions.
• Identify shaft sizes and build shafts for replacement.
• Change sprockets, bearings, and chains.
• Communicate with operators about equipment status.
• Coordinate with Planning and Scheduling Departments.
• Adhere to lock-out policy and ensure isolation.
• Submit work requests and complete work orders.
