Job summary

McClatchy Media Company seeks a part-time Merchandiser to service product across multiple stores in Murphy, NC. The role requires travel between accounts and is an on-site position with 100% travel expected.

You will work under the Supervisor of Merchandising, following planograms and store standards, replenishing products, and maintaining accurate hours using designated applications. A professional, reliable team member will thrive in this environment.

Qualifications

• General merchandising experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multitask and detail-oriented.
• Conduct self in a professional manner.
• Adherence to the company's attendance policy.
• Reliable transportation for travel.
• Able to use Movista and/or other company-required applications.
• Have personal cell phone and mobile device, such as a tablet.
• Proficient with Word, the internet, and email applications.

Responsibilities

• Work within a retail environment to effectively merchandise products by applying appropriate store and/or corporate standards. Safely and efficiently replenish product. May assemble shelves/racks and display cases following measurement guidelines.
• Service all stores as scheduled within the allotted hours provided by Supervisor, Merchandising. Seek prior approval from Supervisor before working outside of scheduled hours.
• Contact Supervisor before working more than 10 hours in a workday or overtime.
• Accurately record work hours and other company-related information using designated applications.
• Discuss duties requested by store personnel not listed herein with Supervisor before performing those duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Work stores as scheduled.
• Handle all product correctly, including returns.
• Follow planograms (POGs), flowcharts, etc.
• Regular communication with Supervisor.
• Develop relationships with store personnel.
