Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and teams at multiple department clinics. Responsibilities include administrative tasks and direct patient care, with travel across community clinics as needed.

The MA 3 role requires a medical assistant diploma or national certification, BLS, and strong knowledge of medical terminology. Hours are Monday–Friday, with on-site requirements and occasional travel for coverage.

Qualifications

• Medical assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited program (ASSCS, ACCET, CAAHEP or ABHES).
• BLS certification from AHA/ARC is required.
• May travel to department clinics as assigned.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and safe medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and patient care support to physicians and health care professionals in department clinics.
• The MA 3 will travel and work at department clinics throughout the community as assigned by the supervisor for coverage.
• Demonstrate compassionate, courteous patient interactions and follow policies and procedures.
