Chiricahua Community Health Centers, Inc seeks a Medical Assistant I to provide direct patient care and customer service in Benson, AZ. The MA will support providers, assist with pre-visit planning, and document in the electronic health record.

The role requires an MA program graduate or CMA eligibility, CPR, and a fingerprint clearance card, with travel as needed and weekend shifts as required. Fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or CMA track with exam eligibility.
• CPR certification required.
• CMA certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Valid fingerprint clearance card required.
• Reliable transportation for occasional work reassignment.
• Valid driver's license may be required for travel.

Responsabilidades

• Assists Provider in care of the patient.
• Facilitates pre-visit planning and clinic huddles.
• Prepares for patient appointment by reviewing and updating records.
• Enters standing orders based on history or screening needs.
• Performs and documents patient intake in the EHR per MA rooming protocols.
• Stocks and disinfects exam rooms between patients.
• Assists providers in obtaining informed consent and performing procedures.
• Performs immunization and medication storage, handling, and administration.
• Performs patient checkout at end of visit.
• Relays patient communication within the care team.
• Demonstrates infection control competency.
• Demonstrates competency in lab specimen collection and processing.
• Travels to locations as needed.
• Works assigned weekends as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
