Long Island Select Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative tasks across Suffolk County sites.

You will interact with Nurse Practitioners, take vital signs, draw blood, prepare specimens, and help with examinations to ensure smooth patient flow. You will manage patient scheduling, answer inquiries, maintain sterile environments, document in electronic health records, and assist in coordinating care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or equivalent experience.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and draw blood; prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures with instruments and supplies.
• Manage patient scheduling and answer phone calls for appointments and inquiries.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and proper sterilization of instruments.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records and manage patient files.
• Answering incoming calls and returning patient messages promptly and professionally.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits.
