Job summary

DN Tanks is seeking a skilled Carpenter Journeyman to join our craft labor team. You will support all phases of the tank building process, setting the pace of work and guiding others to perform tasks safely and with quality.

Responsibilities include interpreting shoring drawings, assisting with pipe pits, training apprentices, and ensuring adherence to DN Tanks safety and QC policies across projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Operate and maintain DN Tanks tools and equipment as required.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the United States.
• Able to work at heights on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, shoring and scaffolds.
• Must wear PPE including steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats and vests.

Responsibilities

• Complete assignments in a timely fashion with little supervision; ask for more information when unclear.
• Understand the tank building process and identify next tasks to complete.
• Interpret shoring drawings to install and remove shoring.
• Assist in forming pipe pits.
• Assist in training apprentices and new local workers.
• Follow safety procedures and DN Tanks safety policies.
• Plan safety into each operation and promptly identify hazards.
• Promote clean, safe work practices by supervising other employees.
• Follow QC program, understand construction tolerances, and report defects.
