Job summary

Dennis Group seeks a Construction Manager to supervise daily field operations on food and beverage process facilities across the USA/Canada. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage the project schedule and budget, and enforce site safety with engineers and designers.

The role requires strong communication, design-build experience, and the ability to interact with owners, subs, building officials, and the A/E team to keep projects moving on schedule and within scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction science, building science, construction engineering or a related field strongly preferred.
• 4+ years of Design-build experience over industrial projects (strongly preferred).
• 4+ years of overseeing sub-contractors and driving the project schedule.
• 4+ years of client interaction experience with strong technical, organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
• 4+ years of progressively responsible job site experience working on industrial building projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, schedules, and budgets.
• Willingness to travel – Up to 100% travel to projects throughout the USA and possible Canada.
• Work schedule – 10 days onsite, 4 days off.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities and coordinate subcontractors.
• Develop and update project scope, budget, and schedule with project management.
• Manage project accounting, budgeting, and cost management.
• Establish and maintain site safety procedures with the safety team.
• Oversee installations of process, mechanical and utility equipment.
• Handle permitting, code and regulatory administration and approvals.
• Coordinate field engineering and inspection activities.
• Prepare and administer third-party agreements.
• Provide coaching and mentoring as needed.
• Promote continuous and productive communication among project participants.
