Franzenburg LLC is seeking a Traveling Field Service Technician to support installation, commissioning, maintenance, and rebuild of industrial decanter centrifuges at customer sites across the United States. The role involves extensive travel and hands-on mechanical work in demanding field environments such as mining, wastewater, and food processing.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, mechanically strong, and able to work independently with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in rotating equipment or industrial maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CDL required after 3 months of employment.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Experience with heavy equipment rebuilds.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission decanter centrifuges and related systems on customer sites.
• Perform onsite rebuilds including teardown, inspection, and reassembly.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and process issues.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Ensure proper alignment, tolerances, and balancing.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Traveling Field Service Technician to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and rebuild of industrial decanter centrifuges at customer sites across the United States. This role requires extensive traveland hands-on mechanical expertise in rotating equipment.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, mechanically strong, and comfortable working independently in demanding field environments such as mining, wastewater, food processing, and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation and commissioning of decanter centrifuges and associated systems
• Conduct onsite rebuilds, including complete tear-down, inspection, and reassembly
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and process-related issues
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Ensure proper alignment, tolerances, and balancing
• Provide customer support and training
• Document service work and maintain detailed reports
• Maintain tools and equipment
• Follow all safety protocols
• One weekend per month on call
• Hauling centrifuges

Travel Requirements

• Travel required 75–90%
• Typical rotation: 3–4 weeks on the road
• Work across the U.S.
• Ability to respond to urgent service calls
