Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to travel across North America to support gas and steam turbines, generators, and related systems.

You will be the technical face for critical energy infrastructure, with assignments ranging from turbine outages in Texas to generator performance troubleshooting in Florida and projects in Canada. The program includes hands-on training, leadership of outage crews, and collaboration with a global engineering team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of military and/or industrial experience.
  • 3 or more years of field service, outage, maintenance, commissioning or power generation experience.
  • Experience working around rotating equipment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise technicians and mechanics during outages and address maintenance issues.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble turbines and generators for performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the global engineering team for testing and outages; serve as primary customer contact during outages.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform inspections and performance testing.
  • Support commissioning, startup and modernization projects; ensure safety standards are met.
