Build something that matters!
Traveling Field Construction Welder

If you’re a skilled welder who thrives in the field — working from blueprints, solving problems hands‑on, and delivering quality welds where performance truly matters — this role was built for you.

As a Traveling Field Construction Welder, you won’t just be welding parts. You’ll be fabricating and repairing semi‑complex components that support critical construction and industrial operations. Your craftsmanship, accuracy, and commitment to safety ensure that equipment performs as designed in real‑world conditions.

This is a role for someone who values precision, accountability, and pride in their work.

Why This Role Is Different
  • You’ll work across multiple welding processes — not just one.
  • You’re trusted to read drawings, make adjustments, and recommend improvements.
  • You’ll support real construction and field operations — not just shop work.
  • You’ll have access to training and AWS certification opportunities.
  • You’ll be part of a team that values quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Performing welding operations using SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and Carbon Arc welding, for both A36 & 304LSS
  • Interpreting engineered drawings, weld symbols, and dimensions
  • Fitting, aligning, calibrating, and adjusting components to meet exact tolerances.
  • Fabricating and repairing semi‑complex parts from raw materials.
  • Following red‑line changes and recommending process or design improvements
  • Troubleshooting and repairing consumable failures (spring liners, nozzle insulators, tips, etc.)
  • Using hand and power tools including grinders and chipping hammers
  • Troubleshooting welding machines and equipment issues
  • Supporting daily housekeeping
  • Working closely with supervisors, managers, and peers to deliver quality work on schedule and under budget
  • Meeting internal and external customer expectations consistently
Where You’ll Make an Impact

You’ll support field and construction operations, fabricating and repairing components that must meet exact standards in demanding environments. Your work contributes directly to job‑site success, safety, and customer satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid TWIC Card or ability to obtain
  • 2+ years of relevant welding and fabrication experience
  • Proven proficiency in:
    • SMAW
    • FCAW

    • Carbon Arc Welding
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Experience operating a wide range of hand and power tools.
  • Demonstrate Fit for Duty by passing a physical examination.
  • Ability to obtain AWS certifications (training provided)
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
  • Safety-first mindset and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with field and shop teams.
  • OSHA 10 / OSHA 30 Card Holder or ability to achieve within the first 6 months of employment.
Who Thrives Here

You know a good weld isn’t just about looks — it’s about penetration, tolerance, and performance. You follow procedures, but you also speak up when something can be improved. You take pride in clean, consistent work and understand that your work carries responsibility long after the job is done. You are self‑motivated and team oriented.
