Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Traveling Equipment Superintendent to lead field maintenance and readiness of a large equipment fleet across multiple construction projects in the United States. The role emphasizes safety, cost control, and strong leadership with up to 90% travel.

The position requires a mechanical engineering or construction management background, at least 5 years of related experience, and a proactive, self-motivated approach to deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or similar related experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical related field.
• Knowledge of construction safety and current federal and provincial requirements.
• Broad knowledge of engineering and construction methods.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer skills.
• Exhibits integrity and ethical behavior; adheres to policies.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness and enthusiasm for travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide field leadership and management of equipment maintenance and readiness to meet project needs.
• Ensure project safety and quality performance through leadership and supervision.
• Control and track all aspects of equipment cost.
• Provide equipment recap reports to senior management.
• Develop and maintain team cohesion among district and venture employees.
• Coordinate work with other co-workers on the job.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor or manager.
