Job Description

This individual will oversee electrical subcontractors and field personnel, ensure quality installations, and support site management in delivering safe, efficient, and high‑quality construction projects.

The role focuses on electrical infrastructure, including underground cabling, overhead transmission and collection lines, high- and medium-voltage equipment, and substation construction. The successful candidate will be a hands‑on electrical leader with strong technical knowledge, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage field teams, schedules, quality, and project resources.

Battery energy storage system (BESS) experience is highly preferred but not required. Candidates with backgrounds in power delivery, substations, transmission and distribution, wind, solar, utilities, and industrial electrical construction are encouraged to apply.

This position requires nationwide travel, potentially to any location in the United States. The typical rotation is three weeks working on‑site, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed, followed by one week at home. This is a traveling field position, not a remote role.

  • Provide electrical expertise and oversight from project planning through construction, testing, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Review electrical drawings, submittals, specifications, and construction documents to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules and three-week look-ahead plans.
  • Supervise electrical subcontractors and self‑performed work, ensuring productivity, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, safety practices, staffing, and resource planning.
  • Oversee the installation and termination of fiber‑optic cables.
  • Ensure proper installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance practices for electrical equipment and systems.
  • Enforce site safety procedures and the project's Zero Injury Safety Program.
  • Monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop field personnel and participate in hiring decisions as needed.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and construction issues.
  • Support project planning, resource allocation, schedule management, and construction execution.
  • Maintain professional working relationships and promote an inclusive, collaborative, safety‑focused environment.
