Job summary

Fundamental is seeking a Traveling Director of Nursing to serve as Interim DON, traveling to client skilled nursing centers to implement systems, train new Directors of Nursing, and oversee temporary nursing leadership.

The role focuses on managing the Nursing Department, collaborating with other disciplines to ensure quality patient care, and ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines while implementing patient-centered programs.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, director and motivator.
• Able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Director of Nursing in a long term care environment.
• Able to react to emergency situations appropriately when required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN), BSN preferred with a valid RN license.
• Must be able to travel extensively by air and automobile; facilities located in multiple states – overnight travel will be required.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the effective overall management of the Nursing Department on a temporary basis in the assigned region/facility.
• Work with other disciplines to provide quality care to all patients/residents in facility.
• Assist facility to comply with state and federal guidelines/regulations per company policies.
• Work with all facility departments to plan and evaluate patient-centered programming.
• Assist facilities with interpreting and implementing company policies and procedures.

Job description

This is a full time position. All travel expenses are paid/reimbursed. Travel is limited to Monday-Friday (weekends at home)

Posted Salary Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Traveling Director of Nursing (DON) will travel as needed to client skilled nursing centers to assist as Interim Director of Nursing. This is a great opportunity to share your clinical knowledge, put systems in place and train new Directors of Nursing. A successful candidate is/will:
