Job summary

Lemartec Corporation seeks a Testing and Commissioning Specialist to support data center projects from design through closeout, executing startup, commissioning, testing, and training to ensure systems operate per design and client expectations.

The role requires traveling up to 100% across the US to locations such as PA, KS, NC, SC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, and WY, coordinating with engineering, QA, and operations while leading start-up meetings and ensuring safe, compliant turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 5+ years of testing and commissioning experience.
• Experience commissioning mechanical, electrical, and controls systems in mission-critical environments such as data centers.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and control narratives.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, testing protocols, and project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Support and execute startup and commissioning plans from turnover through handoff to operations.
• Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures during transition from construction to commissioning.
• Ensure deliverables meet site procedures, schedules, contract requirements, and safety protocols.
• Review drawings to confirm provisions for flushing, testing, and pre-commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA, and Operations to ensure subcontractor equipment meets specs.
• Facilitate OEM and vendor training sessions for client personnel.
• Collaborate with subcontractors during start-up, commissioning, and testing.
• Lead daily start-up Plan of the Day meetings and distribute minutes.
• Support system turnover by scheduling system walkdowns and initial operations.
• Maintain logs of operations, maintenance, and safety activities.
