Job summary

Sevan Multi‑Site Solutions is seeking Traveling Superintendents to lead field operations on commercial construction projects across the United States. This role focuses on safety, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and project execution from groundbreaking through closeout.

Willingness to travel 90‑100% nationwide is required. Candidates should have a strong background in commercial construction, scheduling software experience, and OSHA 30/First Aid/CPR certifications.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of construction experience, including 3+ years as a Superintendent for a General Contractor
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
  • Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera P6 preferred)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)
  • First Aid / CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
  • General Contractor license or LEED experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all onsite construction activities and field operations
  • Direct subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to maintain productivity and progress
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and meet key milestones
  • Develop and manage short‑term look‑ahead schedules
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and labor to maintain workflow
  • Identify potential issues early and implement solutions to avoid delays
  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, site inspections, and job hazard analysis
  • Ensure proper PPE use and maintain a strong safety culture onsite
  • Ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards
  • Perform regular jobsite walkthroughs and inspections
  • Coordinate required inspections, testing, and quality control procedures
  • Manage subcontractor performance, scope execution, and schedule adherence
  • Coordinate trades to prevent conflicts and maintain project flow
  • Address field issues and escalate discrepancies when necessary
  • Maintain daily reports including manpower, progress, weather, and safety updates
  • Communicate field updates and issues to the Project Manager
  • Assist with RFIs, change orders, and field directives as needed
  • Manage punch list completion and final inspections
  • Coordinate site demobilization and project turnover
  • Support delivery of as‑builts, O&M manuals, and final documentation

Summary

Sevan Multi-Site Solutions is seeking experienced Traveling Superintendents to lead field operations on commercial construction projects across the United States. This role oversees jobsite safety, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and project execution from groundbreaking through closeout.

Travel

90–100% nationwide travel required.

Project Types

Retail, restaurant (QSR), grocery, fuel/convenience store, and federal construction projects including ground‑up builds, remodels, and structural concrete work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead Field Operations

  • Oversee all onsite construction activities and field operations
  • Direct subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to maintain productivity and progress
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and meet key milestones

Scheduling & Coordination

  • Develop and manage short‑term look‑ahead schedules aligned with the master project schedule
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and labor to maintain workflow
  • Identify potential issues early and implement solutions to avoid delays

Safety Leadership

  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, site inspections, and job hazard analysis
  • Ensure proper PPE use and maintain a strong safety culture onsite

Quality Control

  • Ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards
  • Perform regular jobsite walkthroughs and inspections

Subcontractor Management

Pay & Benefits

The anticipated compensation range for the position is $90,000 to $120,000, based on a full‑time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate with individual education, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, flexible paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, and a matching 401K plan.

Work Conditions & Travel

This is an on‑site role at the location of the project(s) and requires 90-100% travel nationwide. Multi‑shift work may be required to accomplish work in active retail locations to meet aggressive schedules.
