Job summary

Elford is expanding our team and looking for an experienced Project Manager who will lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role involves traveling to project sites across Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and other markets as needed.

You will partner closely with the Superintendent, project team, trade partners, and client to keep projects moving while focusing on people and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• Five+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience managing projects for a general contractor.
• Willingness and ability to travel based on project assignments.
• Strong knowledge of project financials, scheduling, contracts, and construction operations.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, P6, Microsoft Project, or similar construction technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from planning and preconstruction through completion and closeout.
• Lead project budgets, schedules, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Manage contracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs, procurement, and project documentation.
• Partner with the Superintendent to maintain safety, quality, schedule, and production goals.
• Lead owner and subcontractor meetings and provide clear project updates.
• Identify potential risks and develop solutions before they affect the project.
• Support and mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.
• Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and trade partners.
