Job summary

Valor Contracting is seeking a Traveling Assistant Superintendent for a large datacenter project near Mandan, ND. The role emphasizes safety, scheduling, materials coordination, and leadership across multiple trades on site.

This full-time traveling position requires 50 hours per week or project-driven hours, with per diem for travel and a company vehicle provided. Travel to multiple project sites may be available, and effective communication with stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related degree preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in construction management or related occupation.
• Experience in construction layout, plan, and shop drawing readings.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience and construction management software programs.
• Valid Drivers license

Responsibilities

• Develop and adjust project schedules, coordinating across all trades and phases.
• Manage site logistics, including access, material storage, deliveries and equipment.
• Supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Oversee subcontractor work and maintain site documentation, including RFI's, daily reports, and safety records.
• Oversee procurement, vendor management, and material ordering.
• Oversee punch list completion and final project inspections.
• Lead project coordination meetings and facilitate issue resolution.
• Track and report on costs, including labor and materials.
• Serve as the primary contact for project communication and stakeholder management.
• Manage the preparation of final as-builts and closeout documentation.
• Conduct safety orientations and training for site personnel.
• Attend all required safety trainings and meetings
