Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors in the United States is seeking a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to perform carpentry tasks for prepping, pouring, placing and finishing concrete, including forming for foundations, floors, walls and structures.

You will read drawings, build and set forms, verify elevations, coordinate with the foreman, and assist with concrete placement while following all safety policies. Experience in construction and strong attention to detail are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete structures.
• Set and place forms to elevations and locations, and may aid in reinforcing steel.
• Set and erect forms using various materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using a plumb bob, carpenter's level, laser and/or digital transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager regarding any problems, materials required, or any safety hazards identified.
• Ensure equipment is all in safe working condition.
• May help signal concrete deliverer to position truck to facilitate pouring.
• Responsible for observing and complying with all safety policies and guidelines.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
