Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors in Dallas, TX seeks an experienced Commercial Concrete Finisher to perform carpentry tasks for prepping, pouring, placing and finishing concrete structures across site work per drawings. You will build forms, set elevations, aid reinforcing steel installation, and manage formwork systems including symon forms for various concrete elements.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, elevated slabs, elevator cores, stairs.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations; may aid in installing reinforcing steel.
• Set and erect forms using various materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using plumb bob, carpenter's level, laser, or digital transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assemblies above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager about problems, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• May signal concrete deliverer to position truck for pouring.
• Observe and comply with all safety policies and guidelines.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Tasks include erecting and setting forms for concrete structures, foundations, buildings, and site work per specifications and drawings. This may include concrete tilt-wall forms, symon forms and/or structural forms for columns, decks, elevator cores, parking garages and other cast-in-place concrete structures.
