Job summary

Planet Group is seeking a Traveling Civil Superintendent for a project-based, nationwide travel role in civil construction and site development. Expect 3 weeks on-site with a week off, plus occasional Saturdays. You will coordinate, plan, and supervise multiple subcontractors and craft teams, leading safety, quality, and efficiency across rotations.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and building strong client relationships, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's in Construction, Civil/Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management, or 10+ years of trade experience
• Minimum 5 years of construction management or related experience
• Current driver's license
• Ability to travel up to 100%
• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
• Effective communication and active listening skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate with engineers; review plans for constructability
• Coordinate plans with engineers and resolve discrepancies
• Develop project schedules, including three- and six-week look-ahead plans
• Supervise and mentor assistant superintendents and crafts, track labor hours
• Lead safety, quality, and compliance programs on site
• Build relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Lead by example; manage team performance
• Identify and mitigate unfavorable working conditions and improve processes
