Job summary

A leading materials engineering firm is seeking full-time Certified Welding Inspectors in the Akron area. Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED, as well as a current AWS CWI certification. Responsibilities include traveling and working multiple shifts, inspecting bridge fabrications, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. The position offers a salary range of $30 to $42/hour based on experience and certifications, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bridge fabrication inspection experience preferred.
• NDT Experience is desirable.
• AMPP (NACE) certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Travel and work multiple shifts as required.
• Work outdoors on occasion including in inclement weather.
• Lift 25+ lbs as part of physical requirements.

Skills

Good oral and written communication skills

Reliable transportation

Valid driver’s license

Good computer skills including Microsoft Office products

Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
