Job summary

GeoStabilization International (GSI) is seeking an experienced Driller to lead deep casing drilling on geotechnical projects across the United States. The role emphasizes precision, casing integrity, and taking ownership of the structural outcome on challenging slopes and sites.

You will mentor crew members, manage equipment, and communicate with clients and internal teams. The position offers strong earning potential, extensive travel coverage, and comprehensive benefits in a leadership

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of deep casing drilling experience in geotechnical or ground support.
  • Experience with concentric casing systems (e.g., Symmetrix, ODEX, Elemex, or equivalent) and multiple drilling methods.
  • Ability to maintain verticality, alignment, and embedment tolerances within engineered specs.
  • Understanding of casing sequencing, grout control, and structural load transfer.
  • Willingness to travel up to 100% across the U.S.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Lead: As an experienced driller, you’ll work on projects across the U.S.

Your Core Responsibilities Include
  • Applying your skills across a variety of geohazard mitigation systems and projects.
  • Executing safety plans—protecting the people around you is priority #1.
  • Coaching and developing teammates to be more effective and grow their skills.
  • Helping with equipment maintenance and jobsite organization.
  • Communicating clearly with clients and internal teams.

Core Technical Requirements – Casing Focused
  • Minimum 3+ years of deep casing drilling experience in geotechnical or ground support applications.
  • Demonstrated experience with:
    • Concentric casing systems (e.g., Symmetrix, ODEX, Elemex, or equivalent)
    • Duplex head drilling systems
    • Dual Rotary drilling systems
    • Percussion drill systems
    • Temporary and permanent casing installation
    • Tie‑back and micropile casing systems
  • Proven ability to advance casing through:
    • Collapsing overburden
    • Mixed face conditions
    • Variable rock‑to‑soil transitions
    • High groundwater environments
    • Flowing sands
  • Experience maintaining verticality, alignment, and embedment tolerances within engineered specifications.
  • Strong understanding of casing sequencing, grout control, and structural load transfer principles.

Compensation & Benefits

This is an hourly leadership role with significant earning potential:

  • $25–$38 per hour based on experience level most relevant to our projects.
    • We hire Driller Helpers, Drillers and Senior Drillers at different compensation ranges based on your experience.
