Job summary

AmeriTech Contracting LLC seeks a Traveling Carpenter to perform hands-on construction and carpentry work at company properties and various project sites in Connecticut. The role emphasizes quality craftsmanship, safety, and adherence to project specifications, with frequent travel to multiple job locations.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of carpentry experience, a valid driver's license, the ability to read drawings, and a strong teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Skilled in framing, foundations, and finish carpentry.
• Knowledge of construction materials and carpentry tools.
• Basic math and geometry proficiency.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain government site clearances (including FRA).
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform framing, drywall, painting, and concrete work.
• Travel to and work at assigned project sites as directed.
• Measure, shape, and cut materials to specified dimensions.
• Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, flooring, trim, and hardware.
• Safely erect and dismantle scaffolding and ladders.
• Follow safety instructions and site procedures.
• Inspect and maintain hand and power tools; report unsafe conditions.
