Job summary

Hoar Construction is seeking a skilled Carpenter to perform standard to moderately complex carpentry tasks on commercial/industrial projects. The role requires reading blueprints, selecting and using hand and power tools, and traveling to different job sites as needed.

The ideal candidate has 1–4 years of carpentry experience, strong English communication skills, and a high school diploma or GED. Proficiency with common carpentry tools is expected, and a valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1–4 years experience as a general Carpenter on commercial or industrial projects.
• Experience with manual and power tools such as tape, square, plumb bob, level, hammer, razor knife, chalk box, tool belt, nail puller, and construction calculator.
• Strong reading, written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work with materials such as steel, concrete, wood, plastic, fiberglass or drywall.
• Plan and perform commonly complex carpentry tasks to construct, erect, install, or repair structures including door and wall frames, hardware, doors, casework and trim.
• Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine dimensions and materials.
• Select and use appropriate hand and power tools for the job.
