OPC Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Asphalt Superintendent to provide on-site leadership and management on paving projects across multiple states. This traveling, full-time role requires coordinating crews, materials, and inspections to keep projects on schedule.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of asphalt/earthworks experience, reads blueprints, and demonstrates strong scheduling, communication, and leadership. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel 80% are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Asphalt, Concrete, and Earthworks experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Excellent scheduling, problem-resolution, communication, and leadership skills.
• High level of follow-through on tasks to completion.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills; very detail-oriented, organized, and able to supervise the work of others.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets Company standards.
• Travel required 80%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate paving crews and subcontractors for each project.
• Liaison with other departments, asphalt plant, etc. to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the schedule.
• Coordinate plans and specifications with the Project Manager and clarify discrepancies.
• Maintain communication with the client onsite management.
• Optimize operations procedures.
