We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Rochester, NY. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required.
• Follow orders from physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging.
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position.
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions.
• Calibrate imaging equipment.
• Prepare results for physician to review.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.
• Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Additional Certifications: ARRT (R), BLS, 2 Years (additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment).
