Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for an assignment in Lapeer, Michigan. The role requires 1 year of radiology experience, ARRT(R) certification, BLS, and state licensing as applicable.

The position is 13 weeks long with 40 hours per week and evening shifts. Responsibilities include patient identification, explaining procedures, proper patient positioning, radiation protection, equipment calibration, and PACS usage, with duties extending to record keeping and physician

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of radiology experience.
• BLS, ARRT(R) certification, and state-specific licensing when required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and understand anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• Travel assignment for 13 weeks with 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and adjust imaging equipment correctly.
• Protect against unnecessary radiation exposure with proper precautions.

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Lapeer, MI. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As a Rad Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
