Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a 12-week travel assignment in Ishpeming, MI. The Rad Tech will perform diagnostic imaging, prepare patients, and ensure high-quality images for physician interpretation. An immediate opening requires 1 year of experience and active ARRT (R) and BLS certifications.

State licensing may be required. The role includes 40 hours/week, dayshift, with travel stipends and a benefits package from TotalMed Allied.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests.

• Maintain accurate patient records.

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Ishpeming, Michigan.

We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Ishpeming, MI. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a Rad Tech, you will be responsible for the use of diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. Rad Techs are also responsible for preparing and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing.

Tasks

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipment to appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for Physician to review
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (R) National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

Rad Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
