Job summary

Qualifications

• 5 years’ related newspaper, copyediting and supervisory experience.
• Travel industry background with knowledge of current travel industry trends and issues.
• Proficiency with web content management systems, Adobe Creative Suite, and InDesign/InCopy.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and reporting skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong digital literacy and familiarity with online research and publishing tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead editor for Travel Weekly content across all channels.
• Edit news and feature stories for content, clarity, accuracy, grammar, and style.
• Assign editing and editorial tasks to team members.
• Write compelling headlines, captions, and display copy.
• Collaborate with the Creative Director to ensure images and visuals support editorial content.
• Oversee production of Travel Weekly’s print publication and monitor page proofing.
