Job summary

Healthforce seeks a Vascular Ultrasound Travel Technician for a hospital-based assignment in the Cambridge, MA area. The 13-week contract runs from 10/12/2026 with 40 guaranteed hours weekly, 8-hour days, Monday–Friday.

You will perform comprehensive vascular duplex studies across inpatient and outpatient sites, with float as scheduling requires, using Parks Flolab and GE Logiq E10. Candidates must hold RVT or RVS, BLS, and at least 5 years of vascular ultrasound experience, with Epic experience

Overview

Vascular Tech, General | Cambridge, Massachusetts travel assignment in a hospital setting | Start date 10/12/2026 | Duration 13 weeks | $2,819–$3,080 per week | 40 guaranteed hours | 8-hour day shift, Monday through Friday. The assignment includes inpatient and outpatient vascular imaging with float between sites as scheduling requires.

This travel role involves performing comprehensive vascular ultrasound studies in both inpatient and outpatient environments, with coverage across two sites in the greater Cambridge/Everett area. The schedule may include float between locations to meet coverage needs, with typical hours starting early in the day.

Responsibilities

• Perform arterial and venous duplex ultrasound studies, including renal, mesenteric, abdominal arterial duplex, and mapping for AV fistula; carotid and temporal arteries duplex; ABI, TBI, and PVR with cold immersion as indicated.
• Conduct AV fistula duplex examinations and mapping for access planning and follow-up; document findings clearly and timely.
• Maintain accreditation standards and participate in quality improvement activities, including bi-annual submissions as required for IAC protocols.
• Operate imaging equipment (Parks Flolab and GE Logiq E10), ensure proper protocol adherence, patient safety, and image quality.
• Provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings; collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members; communicate findings promptly and accurately.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and safety measures; ensure efficient workflow and accurate data entry.

Requirements

• Certification: Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) required
• BLS certification (AHA) required at submission
• Experience: minimum 5 years of vascular ultrasound experience
• Epic experience is required at submission
• Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings and to float between site locations
• Commitment to a 13-week travel assignment and to maintain professional standards and patient care
