Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a travel assignment in Aberdeen, Washington. The US Tech will perform ultrasound exams, maintain equipment, and support radiologists in a 13-week, 40-hour-per-week role.

A minimum of 1 year of experience, BLS, ARDMS, and state licensing where required are required. Responsibilities include patient education, exam preparation, reporting findings, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Additional certifications may be required prior to assignment.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families regarding procedures.

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a travel job in Aberdeen, Washington.

We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Aberdeen, WA. The right US Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As a US Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

US Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. US Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
