Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Fortuna, California. It’s a travel position with 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts, requiring 1 year of ultrasound experience and ARDMS/BLS/licensing where applicable.

You will operate ultrasound equipment, prepare rooms, assist Radiologists, document findings, and maintain equipment while using McKesson PACS.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of ultrasound experience.
• BLS, ARDMS national certification, and state licensing when required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and handle exams independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment and capture images for physician interpretation.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist radiologists with procedures.
• Educate patients and families about procedures.
• Identify abnormalities and report them promptly.
• Maintain equipment and document results in patient records.
• Utilize McKesson PACS for image storage and retrieval.
