Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Mason City, IA. The role requires 1 year of ultrasound experience, ARDMS, BLS, and state licensing as applicable. You will image anatomy, assist radiologists, and ensure patient comfort during procedures.

Responsibilities include patient education, exam preparation, documentation, equipment maintenance, and using McKesson PACS for reporting. Travel benefits and a structured shift pattern are provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year of ultrasound experience required.
• Must have ARDMS and BLS certifications and any required state licensing.
• Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and document findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families about procedures performed.
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe areas of concern.
• Prepare exam room and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and biopsies.
• Report any abnormalities to medical staff promptly.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Conduct scans and write reports based on results.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Operate McKesson PACS system.
