Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a travel assignment in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role requires one year of ultrasound experience, ARDMS/BLS certifications, and state licensing as applicable.

Tasks include operating ultrasound equipment, preparing examinations, and reporting results to Radiologists. The position offers 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, with a 13-week duration, and a tax-free stipend may be determined.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.
• US Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• US Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• ARDMS, BLS, 1 Year

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or patient’s family regarding procedures performed.
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern.
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies.
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff.
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure.
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
