Job summary

Requirements include ARDMS/RDCS, BLS, and a state radiography license or RDMS; on-call availability is required. Echo experience is a plus; training may be provided.

Qualifications

• Must have ARDMS or RDCS certification.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• Echo tech experience preferred but training is possible.
• Shifts: Mon-Fri 7:00–3:30; must be willing to take call.

Responsibilities

• Perform abdominal, pelvic, gynecological, obstetrical, and transvaginal ultrasound exams.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure quality imaging.
• Work under Radiologist supervision following department protocols.
• Provide timely diagnostic services for inpatients and outpatients.

The Ultrasound Technician is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), maintains a State License as a general radiographer, and/or is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: abdominal, pelvic, (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms. Additionally is proficient at scanning small parts (thyroid, breast & scrotum) along with ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis and aspirations.

Facility Requirements

• Must have ARDMS or RDCS certification, this must be attached to the submission
• Preferred if the candidate also has Echo tech experience; the facility is also willing to train
• Must have BLS certification must be attached to submission packet (Must be through the American Heart Association)
• Shifts will be Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, Must be willing to take call
